An empty, heavy gauge 'Tide' laundry bottle works well for bar and chain oil, with the drip-proof spouts - they come in different sizes too!

Maybe choose a white bottle (e.g. 'All') for winter weight oil?

The spouts can be pried out on most jugs to let you rinse them better (takes a few cycles to get out all of the suds). The label will come off of most jugs with lacquer thinner, or a heat gun (some).

I use a standard gas can for fuel mix so that there is no confusion. Also not sure how gas affects the plastic, and vice-versa.

The laundry bottles do work for bar oil. I tried them with mix and the gasoline will start to swell and or shrink the lid, spout, etc. And believe it or not but after numerous rinses with warm water and then regular gasoline you will still smell the distinct odor of warm detergent. [emoji12] I used a fabric softener container once and only once...... strong odor wafting thru the woods. [emoji12] [emoji12] [emoji13]

I have a nice no spill gas can. I wanted to mix up a few different oils by the gallon to try out. I was just curious if anyone had experience with other gallon jugs. I will try a gallon oil jug. [emoji106]

You guys run your Saws???

I have a few of those red jugs with the yellow spouts and really like them.

When I weedeat fence line I fill a pop bottle with mix and put it in my back pocket with a few feet of line. It gives me enough fuel to jump the fence and work backwards too the fuel can.

I rarely cut any wood very far from a truck or tractor.

You would not believe how nice these are to pour from. Not a single drop spilled. I have stored fuel in them for extended periods of time with no ill effects.

Great idea, going to use these for bar oil now on. Got the no spill for the gas mix and Iove it.
