I have the smallest pitboss they sell (i think). Never given me issues. And it sits outside uncovered…. for the past three years.
Only ever ran the pitboss pellets too.

How’s the direct flame grilling been performing for ya?
You can sear really well it without burning your meat like a gas would do , like burgers or chicken I’ll smoke boost a little bit for flavor then crank it up for grilling, and gets up to 600 degrees in around 13 minutes, I’m pretty happy with the results so far , the smoking been really good holds low temps well ,

Well I got the call my LSG is ready for crating and shipping. Once it leaves Texas I’ll get the tracking information. The LTL company will call me to set up actual delivery. It’s been a long few months
I’ve been looking into them or a Yoder. I had a Yoder smoker years ago. Our Ace Hardware has a TN Orange pellet grill in stock. The Yoder only has a 20 lb hopper which is probably plenty, but I like the LSG 40 pound hopper for those long cooks. For the money, the LSG beats the Yoder. I’m interested to see your review when you get to fire it up!

After looking at both in person the LSG in my opinion is a much better built unit. The fact they are built to order versus the Yoder which can be store bought is another reason I went LSG. I’m already wishing I would have spent the money for some more options but they are really not needed. I need to order some wood chips so I can really see if their claim of offset flavor with the mix of pellets and chips is true.
