Does a 65cc toaster have a larger carburetor than a 55cc toaster?

Not sure what part you are referring to. That unpainted part near top left is a manual oil pump. Would have been connected to a thumb button with a small steel rod. Those are typically found on the Pro models.

Manual oil pumps were probably only in the largest 100 cc Partners? The one above is the smallest 55cc

There were manuel oilers on the smaller saws, I know I have a few. Looks like you have one also.;)

Just got me a 5000 plus in good condition. Anyone have tips to get more grunt from the saw? 🙂

I've unscrewed the plate from the muffler a few times, but it's also a bracket for you

I'm bringing back to life the P650 is the most finished toaster I have, the piston is notched and it still pumps 9 bar, it must be enough. I made two manifold gaskets in front of the carburetor, I lowered the valve lever in the carburetor because it was flooding the saw. The holes in the spur are so big that I put in 7mm bolts. I changed the clutch because someone put on two shoes is definitely not enough so I borrowed a full clutch from a 50-year-old R18. It was put on the strainer on the oil line and add the rest of the parts. The starter is also borrowed from a black shipwreck ;-)

I pulled the trigger on a pair of 3 cubers.Partner 500 and 5000 ,cheap . I fully expect to do some work on them which I do on every saw I buy sight unseen .I ran one of these at Chardon years ago ,impressed although I did get out ran .Gent says they both blow 140 PSI so there can't be much wrong with them .Funny the Partner stock numbers match up with Husqvarna so parts if needed should not be hard to find nor costly .One of these might be my entry at "saw fest " for the three cube class . I was going to doctor up a10-10 Mac but I think this would be a better choice .

Rambling on .I've got large red wood slayer chainsaws ,mid sized use every day saws but few 3 cubers .These I consider the "Jack Russels " of chainsawdom . Snarling little guys with an attitude in spite of being small .If the above works out well one will be a work saw the other a cookie cutter .It's been a long time but I think I can still do it

As far as AM pistons Meteor is probabley as good as it gets with the exception of Wiseco IMO .However with the Meteors I use either OEM Stihl circlips or Wiseco .Regarding Wiseco pistons they are a tad costly but Dave at CCC has some deals every so often .
I met Dave last Oct .It turns out he had a saw I knew at first sight who built it decades ago .Old school Homelite 650 hotty built by "Big Dave " Nieger RIP .I had ran that thing maybe 15 years ago .

140 is actually on the low side for a 5000, probably needs a ring, stock, at .060ish squish they typically make 180-190. They have a super tiny chamber.

When I rebuilt the two P-100's they blew around 140 ,new rings .They only have at best a half hour of run time since and I haven't checked them lately .I figured it might take a couple hours of run time to seat in .When it gets warmer I've got enough big wood on the ground I'll flog them plus the two little ones like rented mules .I don't baby them ,they'll either come or bleed .

Now then I'm no expert on Partner having only worked on two,the P-100's .If and I repeat if these little fellows are built as tough as the large ones ,one rebuild would about be it if it were done correctly .Plus not get stingy with the mix oil ratio or try to tune it like a model airplane engine .My complaint is the IPL's .They give you the part number but not what it is .However in the service manuals they are very concise explaining things .
