Unless you take the oxygenated fuel into consideration that’s exactly correct

I doubt you can get 13000hp from a 440ci top fuel dragster without nitromethane but I’m not gonna say impossible

Point is you need octane to resist ignition under pressure in gassers. More fuel rate increases octane and cooling dramatically

I talked to VP for damn near 2 hours one day trying to find a good fuel for racing saws.
Right off they dump me off to the SEF94 specialist, no I don’t want that. When he finally figured out somewhat of what I was after, he sent me off to a different guy who tried talking me into 110. Again, no...

finally just ordered some oxygenated 94 octane that I thought suited what I wanted.

Deets you’re a hell of a good thinker I bet you could teach me a lot about how to build a faster saw!

You probably wanted VP MR12 or U4.4. From my recent experience in dirt bikes VP T4 is a slightly oxygenated fuel that is supposed to require no jetting changes over premium pump fuel but doesn't make as much power as those previous 2. If you really want to make the most power Renegade SX4+.

I used to run straight 110 when I was running 10psi boost on a Polaris 800 at 800' elevation, at 10k' about 1:5 ratio 110 to premium. At 7psi, 10k' elevatio, straight premium wasn't a problem. 110 is when you absolutely need the anti-knock properties, high boost or really high compression.

You should do ok with that.

This guy is drinking T4 at the moment with a TR 520 big bore, after the T4 is burnt up I'll switch to Renegade SX4+. It made 64hp and 41ft-lbs at the rear wheel, with the stock cam!

I tried VP M5 in some saws. It made good power but was hard to get rich enough to not run away. Some 20% nitro RC fuel was a fun experiment as well.
