I know that You have seen/handled this particular loop at Nate's. :)

There must be a dry season on the pond for the loop to have stayed dry. ;)

I think LGX cuts faster but EXL holds an edge better.
I don't have an LGX loop at hand right now, but the EXL teeth seem to feature a more open gullet.
I will try compare both tomorrow.

I was referring to that full house chain
I believe Jason was referring to previous posts where regular LGX vs EXL was mentioned.

I was thinking about chip clearance and came to think about band and circular saws - where do the chips go on those, not much room between the teeth either.

There will be videos, pictures and thoughts posted! :)

It may take a while, but more info will follow.

Nope, your mission (wether you accept it or not) is to dedicate tomorrow to comparisions, pictures, videos and opinions. The rest of us can’t wait to live vicariously through you.

I don't have any square wood to put this loop into!
Does that give me any leniency? o_O

What do You Americans care about Full House anyway?!
You use Full Skip on 72DL loops for sake of sharpening down time.

Think about that, both 72DL but Full House features 72 teeth versus 18 teeth on Full Skip.

I think I have a regular 72DL Oregon LGX loop, either new or nearly new.
I do not have any normal sequence EXL loop though.
That been said any comparison between Full House and Full Complement will not be a 100% accurate.

This American doesn’t care about proper comparisons...... I just want to see vids of the full house in action!!!!

I also never ever run skip chain.

I /we need more than just a tease. Looks like some small to fine chips/ dust on top of the log.
The dust just flew over from an undercut on another log.
The chain makes decent sized chips.

Arrr did you get that lovely bar and chain stucky in the woody, and did you have to run to the truck to get another bar and chain...to cut it out..:risas3:

What a tease you are..;)...these suspenders are killing me

We want the vidddeo. :zpong:
Nope, Dolmar PS -7310 pulled the chain good.
Chain and bar did not get stucky in the woody - operator pushed the kill switch WOT mid cut for scientific reasons, took the PH off for convenience.

I have no truck, but I have 6 more saws ready to help out if ever needed - log is located in my own back yard.

Videos are made and compressed (way too big file size to upload them to YouTube when shot in 720p), I will try and get them up this evening or tomorrow.

Stay tuned! :D
