See ,I learned something new. I thought 1/ring was the norm for husky. 550, 562, 372 all single rings? They seem to be factory hot rods.

372 has 2 rings. 371 has a single ring.

Either way 20 degrees won't leave one saw covered in oil and one dry as a bone.
At least I don't think so,but that's why I did it so i\we can learn something other than it takes a hell of a grasshopper to eat a bail of hay. Truth

My single ring saw is a little hotter but it is also stronger all the way around. No explanation why it just is.

20 degrees doesn't seem like much to me,after the two cuts it would raise 10 degree at a idle for a second and then rapidly Cool,shockingly fast how they both cooled.

Just thinking, but maybe you could swap out some of the easy stuff. Air filters,carbs or get more involved and swap jugs just to see if the smallest differences in port work is why one runs better.

Small square bail but it's still pretty impressive I think.

I actually know why,the better running saw had better transfer timing and didn't need to be raised as much to achieve the same timing.

Also as I said before one ring will gain rpm in the wood I've tested it many times but it's faster than the other with both rings. Port 10 saws the same and one will always stand out.
