For sure some strange times around north Idaho. Clear skys, see every star out there. 43 degrees and just a breeze. Ahh i love spring. Whats strange, despite all this covid19 stuff and the economy being in the pits, ive been out cutting 7 days a week, cant get a break! Never in my life have i been slammed with so many thinning, hazard tree removals and firewood cutting gigs. Oh well, take it all while the getten is good! Take care fellow OPE members and stay safe.

Another blue sky day, 45 degrees and im sore as heck!
Gonna do a cord of firewood today, its quite the job getten er done. I tow a trailer that carries my pioneer 500 SxS and a custom trail hauling trailer. So i drive me truck and trailer to this spot, and use the atv and mini trailer to foward wood down a 50 inch wide trail. Nice spot up in there, almost nobody around and lots of deer, elk and bear to watch.
The firewood trees are about 2 miles up the trail from my truck, the trailer hauls 1/4 cord per trip. Love it up there, all old growth cedars, larch and doug fir. When i shut off my ported saw, i can hear the saws echo off the far side canyon wall.
