12 Celsius or 53.6 Fahrenheit here in southern Saskatchewan Canada. Great temp for archery elk season !!

Yes Saskatchewan resident archery Elk opened on Aug 20. Rifle elk opens September 15 as does black bear and white tail deer in certain zones. Regular Moose season opens Oct 15. Then throw in some mule deer , antelope , migratory bird and upland birds, there is lots of hunting to be done from now til mid December ! ... In between stocking up the woodpile that is lol ! But i mostly hunt elk and moose. What's your wild game of choice to fill your freezer?

My first choice would be Turkey, second deer, third doves, As I am not able to hunt any of the above anymore but a few doves. We do not have the game that you guys have up there. I would love to have a elk to grind up for sausage.

Turkey is one game bird I have always wanted to hunt. I would love to roast up one of those big Toms ! Never tried dove but that dish you posted of dove and potatoes looked awesome ! Sorry to hear your mobility isn't up to hunting turkey and deer, I had knee surgery last November so just on the mend now in time for hunting season, so I do know the feeling. Elk is very good eating as is
moose. I hope you have an opportunity to try some one day. Also I hope you can get out for opening day of dove season this Saturday, happy hunting my friend!

It was sixty two or so this A.M. early. Cool & comfy now, but while I was attempting to change flat it was hotter with sun now, clouded over a/smell of rain. Called about missing the appointment with doctor after wheel bearing replacement made it three blocks and had flat. Spare was flat got a$10 set from shop right across street that got me to tire shop who got a couple 15" tires sent in twenty minutes for my 14" rims. Took long enough for all that to keep from making appointment with Doctor. Reschedule for October just how it's sposed to B

Was supposed to dove hunt Saturday but the fellow who was supposed to cut our field we lease out for hay to our cousin hasn't cut it yet. We had four acres planted in millet, which got chocked out by the rye grass. Supposed to have been cut beginning of August, still ain't been cut. Looks like out first season hunt is a wash out. Oh well, still get to hear the Georgia Bulldogs play.

Early this morning (at least early for a retiree like me) 05 coffee it was 69° the cloud cover the guessers promised, was not very covering. I hid in the shade as much as I could and still my buddy Tammy thought I was burnt from sun. Came out to bid on three items.in order a Remington gear drive saw, then a large Stihl case and then a 56" sawmill blade with replaceable teeth, some cooling in the creek in the morning and I'll be way less red
Case is big enough for my 661 or the 066 or an 088 size if found

72° same as 15 hours ago and 11 hours ago except this time radar shows nasty clouds above below and to the west with stuff heading north and they are speaking of 3"rain north & west. Last time it was predicted for here it was a dry night. They prolly are politicians who lost their race

EDIT: 45 minutes later leading edge of actual water from sky. Not as heavy as the color on radar indicated, minutes later slowing down rather than getting exciting like the prediction good night.

Been much cooler here lately... getting up into the 70s during the day. Nice compared to 100+ temps were used to all summer.
