Say what? Any other details on this? Any other parts need changing? @Stump Shot What do you think of this idea?
Don't know much about it other than when I bought my first one, the owner asked if I wanted stihl bar studs left in it or if I wanted him to reinstall the original dolmar studs

Not sure. Already have one bar too many and they would both be in obsolescence with different studs, but I'll fix it up any way you like.

Gary I got mine from homelite410 and it works great with all my stihl bars. Having to only keep one mount on hand is the only way to go. I will have to do some digging as I may have one I can ship to Steve if you would like.

I have an adapter from my previous foray in to Husky saws. Likely just go the way it is.

The same adapter for Husky isn't right on a dolmar. It'll work, but you have to take the screw out that holds the bar plate in place and use it without that. You'd want a dolmar specific adapter that actually screws in place if you were going to leave it there. Dolmar stud spacing is less than husky

Hit the save button in my head. Thanks Kevin. What stihl studs fit specifically? 460 ones?
I don't know the answer to that. I believe all the pro saws are the same though. Order a cheap set of farmertecs to see if they fit and if so you could go oem. Only cost a couple bucks to try

Agreed. Please, everyone here remember how quickly things can happen. Even something as "slow" as a hydraulic splitter can become very dangerous. Work at a safe pace, and when you think you need a break take one... I know when I am cutting and start to get tired, things go from bad to worse. I sliced my chaps one day and I just loaded up and went home. No stack of wood would ever be worth a chainsaw accident. I was done.
