All MS 201 Produced in 2019 will be Mtronic 3.0 and have the new piston design.

Good morning,
Just checked an MS201T dated 04/19 and nothing new in it yet.
Old black valve, no stepped piston, not marked 3.0.
Hard to believe USA production would be different, but may be.
SSC look-up with serial number does show this as previous version, odd.

I want to know if they strengthened the lanyard attachment point on that little thing. There has been quite a few upset people out there when their expensive little 150 top handles smashed into the ground after it broke loose from the lanyard.

That’s an engineered breakaway feature. You can’t drop top handles into your lanyard like you used too.

I actually have a breakaway lanyard I hang my saw from to mitigate any accidents caused by a hung up saw. The saw should be able to hold its own weight while hanging on my side. No reason nor excuse for it not to. These weren't cases of them being dropped into the lanyard. Was the plastic failing from normal use hanging on the side of the harness. Unacceptable for any saw, let alone one that expensive.

That's part of the problem with aiming for the lightest saw, durability is lost.

I don't think this ring is coming off, and it's have the price! but heavier.
