Yesterday walking through a gun store I had to keep saying no to myself over and over. :risas3:

This carbine is selling like mad, and another panic buying frenzy may be on the horizon. I need to get that Zastava paid off sooner rather than later!

I certainly hope you're wrong.
However, I do agree, you need to get the Zastava home.

Very, very nice! Unfortunately I'm going to be spending money on tractor parts and taking all the dogs and cats to the vet for some time to come. Do let us know how it shoots!

I took it to the range last Saturday, it shoots great. Kinda like shooting a louder, slightly more recoil 10/22. Shot 100 rounds through it with no failures, one box of 124gr, and one box of Russian steel cased crap. I only shot it with the factory mag so far, I will try Glock mags next time I go.

Shot the carbine more today. Used Glock magazines, no failure to feed, used a factory glock and two ETS mags. Also put a Sig Romeo5 red dot on it.

Let's see here. Anybody need a kidney? How 'bout a brain hemisphere, I have read you can survive with only one!

No takers on my offer of 42 year old organs, so I went ahead and put a carbine in layaway. Can I really afford it now? No, but I ain't getting any younger and these are probably going to be hard to find for quite awhile

The house credit card for the shop where the carbine is layawayed sent me a 0% for six months offer so I think I am going to bail it out this week. First order of business will be to put the Glock magwell in it. Alot of other folks do the same thing, as Fleabay and Gunbroker have plenty of listings for the Ruger magwell. The first load I am planning to try is my favorite pistol load: Arsenal Molds 134 grain round nose flat point over 4 grains HP-38, 1.075 OAL. If the carbine likes this load as well as my pistols do then we have a winner!

Factory rail version. I believe they all come with the Glock mag adapter. If you don’t get it for some reason I’ll sell you my extra. I have a Holosun 507c on it. I have not had the chance to try it out yet. It’s heavy but I don’t think you could wear it out. The take down feature is really kind of cool

I was just talking to a bud how we both really want one! But carry pistols are very hard to come by in the area. That’s my main focus, then I can have a fun gun like this

I went ahead and picked up the carbine this morning as I think the NICS system is going to be crashing a lot with the tsunami of requests. Had to put the remaining cost on plastic which I hate to do. Will report back when I get a chance to try it out.

My parallel dimension self must be hitting the Powerball 'cause I'm 0 for 2 on new guns right now. I managed to try out the carbine this afternoon at 25 yards resting on shooting sticks. Ammo was the previously mentioned load that all my handguns like. At least half of the shots fired were major flyers. For example, I fired 10 shots at the bull in this photo. Four were reasonably on target. One was about 4 inches high, two were high and right and two were low to the right.

Upon cleaning, I didn't see anything amiss. There was about the usual amount of powder and bullet lube fouling, no lead deposits I could see. So, maybe the barrel is a bit overbore? Ive never found a 9mm that would not shoot these bullets at least reasonably well, including Glock factory barrels. I suppose I'll try some endangered species factory ammo next, then maybe some .358 bullets.

The good news is, function was 100% and the carbine is lots of fun to shoot. The factory sights are great, same sight picture I have on most of my other long guns.

I was originally thinking that maybe you didn’t have the adjustment of the take down assembly adjusted correctly, but the rear sight is mounted on the barrel. If it functions it should be ok. That is weird. I’d like to see some different loads

I shot my buddy’s, a standard model and it was shooting 2-3” groups at 25yds with the irons. Just casually standing and shooting. Probably capable of much better.

Is the thread protector screwed down? I’m just spitballing.
