Ruger has come out with a new 9mm carbine. It's not the same as the old PC9 and PC40, this one is takedown and can use Ruger mags or Glock mags. I already reload 9mm and have a bunch of Glock mags so I'm pretty stoked about it. The local fun store has them on order, hopefully I can put one in layaway jail when they show up.

Numerous reports suggest it is already available. I'm consciously not shopping for one right now 'cause my fun money is already spent and then some.

I was in my LGS earlier today. The owner said he can't keep them in stock. He has a waiting list of guys wanting one. I didn't ask him how many he's sold but got the impression it's quite a few.

I'm planning to layaway one soon as my refund shows up. My local shop ordered them as soon as they were announced, he should have one waiting for me.

I like the concept of the Kel-Tec, but the chintzy construction just kills it for me. The "receiver" is two pieces of blow molded plastic screwed together. I'm sure it works well enough but I'll pass.

KY Gun Company was around $500.00 a few weeks ago. I've been pretty broke the past month, so I have intentionally not been shopping for one.

I seen 519 no tax with 20 shipping to ffl yesterday online.

Noticed keltec dropped them to 399 with sw or bert mags now too.

I want the ruger too though. I have 4 saws on hold for folks income tax returns. Maybe then.

The Kel-Tec would have to be under $300.00 for me to bite. It just doesn't look or feel like an expensive or even mid-price gun to me. If Hi-Point gave their carbines the ability to use common double stack mags they wouldn't be able to make enough of them. They work well enough but I'm not starting all over with yet another mag to buy.

Went to the shop at lunch and asked about the carbines. The guy said he has received exactly one of them, and it sold the same day. I did put a sweet Zastava .223 carbine in layaway jail though, see my thread on it.:)

I have been drooling over one of these for a wile too. No one around here can seem to keep them in stock long enough for me to get there.
O well I will have one once the new toy rush is over too.
