I havent worked on these much but just learned to make sure the intake spacer is on the cylinder before the cylinder goes on the case. :smash2:
Wish I had read that somewhere first. Maybe someone will stumble into this before they do the same thing. :roto2nuse:

Yep and they crack if you crank on the screws to hard. Don't ask me how I know : (

is there supposed to be a gasket between the carb and the filter elbow? Mine didn't have one when I took it apart... seemed like it had a good flat mating surface that nothing would get in there...

Yes definitely a learning curve. But once the 2100 Is learned, it's one of the most simpl, and easy to work on designs I've seen.

Heres mine with a 36". It still needs a chain tho. I just worked a deal with a friend for an old 2100 and 3 boxes of parts for $250. Still gotta pick it up. The saw is kinda rough but has pretty new top-end. Tons of compression but no spark.
