Nice! Very nice. Me too on the ported 2100, often wonder how sweet it would be wonder if it's been done?I have 4 or 5 288s I love them but I would not mind having a ported 2100
Mine on the previous page was ported, thin ring piston, has dual big port muffler, carb Governor mod and is indeed sweet. The first time I ran it I had a 32" bar 3/8 chain with an 8 pin rim in hard red oak. I couldn't believe how easy it went through the wood.Nice! Very nice. That thing is mean!
This is mine. Srcarr52 ported 2100
I agree. Ran the 395 Then 288 yesterday in big oak. Felt guilty first time the 2100 sat. I felt bad not using some others saws as much. So I actually did enie meanie money mo. Can you believe that. Am I the only one who does that? Anyway 395 won, 288 is always in truck behind seat. Felt good running 395. Then chain hit something in the bark, and smoked it. Didn't feel like spending next 2 hoursvfiling it out. Grabbed the 288. And had to rip and quarter every round. Plenty grunt 288s always make me smile. Its hard not to like a stock 288 or 2100.
