.063 oils a 32 just fine with the sissy stock oilers on 440's ,run .404 and oils better yet ,its the sissy .050 chain that burns the long bars up ,not the oilers .
Just muh too centz .

And Ryan knows where my stones are ,in the bottom of the wife's purse somewhere .

I cant say i paid close enough attention bruh..

But..i put the 461R pump parts in one of my 361s thats ported and i just ran it yesterday with 28" on a good sized removal and it wet the bar good...and the saw has the balls to pull it with full skip.
Wow that's my fault man, I totally mis-read your post...I thought you said it "isn't" worth it to change the parts LOL....

So after you changed the pump/piston you could tell thebsaws oiled a lot better???

And was putting the HO oil pump parts in easy...i remember seeing a thread in it a long time ago, seemed quick and simple...

Khntr85: I skipped most of this thread because I have a very limited attention span. Here's my opinions, based on my MS461 that I ran stock for a while and then had ported.
1) It's very easy and inexpensive to upgrade the oiler to h.o. capacity. I'm sure I've already sent you the links to parts and procedures. I would do this to any 461, no matter what.
2) A stock MS461 will run 32" full skip chain n hardwood just fine. Ported, you can go to full comp.
3) Gauge of chain/bar, i.e. 0.050 vs 0.063 is irrelevant. Either one works fine. 0.050 chain is easier to find then 0.063. Personally, I'm switching all of my 3/8th chain to 0.063 just because I like the Tsumura L&T and it used to only come in 0.063. I see that @Ford 150 has been importing 0.050 Sithl bars recently, so if I had it to do over again, I'd stay with all 0.050.

Sawmikaze likes moddin oil pumps on 361s and 362s so much now he keeps spare bolts and pistons on deck.

Well hello sir, I respect your honesty, at times I also have the short attention span, so I understand....

I did talk to some guys a year or so ago when I was about to buy the 461....I found it oils the 25" ok, but as you stated, I AM going to order the HO parts, I forgot how easy of a swap it is....

Once agian thank you for our post!!!!!

My ported 460 with H.O. oiler pulls a 28" well and I think it would do in a pinch with a 32". I usually grab a bigger saw for that length though.
No replacement for displacement, especially if you add porting to that. ;)

There is enough displacement for 32".
