Phew, that was close. I always tell my wife to be in a relationship with science you have to act stupid. You have to give them the benefit of the doubt by stretching the possible meanings of what they said or did the most positive meaning possible. Otherwise, especially in short text snippets with no tone or inflection, it's something of our human nature to assume the worst and destroy relationships over simple mis understanding.

I would have at least liked to have known how the money was used to help his family. I sank 600 bucks in that raffle (my own choice obviously) hoping to come away with a saw and help someone that i have never met before but that many guys on here have a lot of respect for. I ended up with a pair of work gloves and no closure as to how what we all contributed made a difference...

Well, as I recall and please corrected me if I'm not right here, Jon didn't want the raffle for him and got it anyway.
He might have been a better giver than he was a taker.
The Shemane situation proves it is worth having as there is times when we really should help out someone with a definite need, especially when it happens at one of our GTG events. It's only right, that said it does need to be run differently possibly by one member assigned to the task so as the entire membership doesn't think they are in charge at prize time. This person would be over and above the statistician that keeps the info straight and have full sole authority to make rulings when a problem arises.
We as a whole need to take the time to make better decisions before hand is all.
Then maybe I won't feel like throwing the prize I offered in the garbage can just so I don't have to watch the melee any longer and not have friends go MIA.

@tree monkey maybe a third 462 thread could be started, you know what they say, third times a charm.
I for one was really liking seeing stuff done to these saws. I see saws every day and this one left quite an impression on me from the first time I touched one and squeezed the trigger. That doesn't happen often enough and if my vote counts I would like to see more about these saws and all the other new saws coming out as well, interesting times for sure.
Wonder what the new 500I is going to do to folks, @dall is working hard so he can get one, would be nice to see his experiences here with it as well.
