Try the 325 chain yet?
I havnt. I got the 500p, 5105 ready tonight and then tweaked on the 656. Then kiddos had the re spring concert. So just got home. Hopefully tomorrow I can put a fresh grind on and play with the rakers and do a comparisson vid of the 3. I'm sure @fin460 is planting but would love to grab his mastermind 2153 and 261 to throw in the mix. Lol.

Here's one spot these saws could be helped easily. I open these up and drill out 8 spot weld and remove the cat and divider plate. However even after that's home these mufflers are still pretty heavy! View attachment 18999

@Termitebuffet refers to those mufflers as a UFO.

I have a 5105 from Zoo City Sawz, and maybe Randy will have some input on what he has done with this model. My saw pushes just over 190#, but I have a -14% being at 4700'.

Here's a Makita PDF I saved from a couple of years ago that shows the differences between the 5000 (Dolmar 5105) and the 5121 (Dolmar 510) in good detail. There's good pictures of the transfers and note the chain sprockets.

Well here ya go boys. The solo kinda gets an unfair shake her as 1 it didn't have the experiment time the other 2 did. But also its makes power in a lower rpm than the other. However as you can see none of them are slackers!

The echo has the most run time on it. The other don't have much more than 2 tanks threw them.

Yes. The solo prefers 3/8 as its more torquey. But the .325 is ground at 50/30/10 and rakers a little lower!

Real similar to what I use. 55/30/10

My echo sure liked the stihl ps chain. Might be something to try sometime.
