I'm looking for a new project. I know this has probably been asked, but the market changes quick on parts availibility and cost so I figured it would be ok to ask now instead of search. Im looking for a smaller used saw around 50cc class or less that runs strong, that I can find threads/ info on repair & mod and is easy to find parts for.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks!

350 is a good choice. Just watch for the melted oil tank under the muffler. You can swap the jug to a 346. A 346 is even better but pricier and harder to find. Stihl 026/260 is another fair option. Not as easy to mod but not hard and there seem to be dead ones hiding under every rock. 261 or 550xp would also be good but will cost more in parts.
