A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. Do not travel. If you must travel... have
a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded... stay with
your vehicle. Prepare for the possibility of power outages during
snowy and cold conditions.
I lived in the mountains of Colorado for 8 years. You get used to snow out there, you just had to avoid the tourist rental cars. Here people are idiots.
It's snowing here now. We got maybe an inch melt down yesterday and looks to have gotten an inch or more over night. I'm glad it didn't freezing rain yet and hopefully it stays cold enough to not switch over.
It snowed off and on this morning since very early. My son headed in early from the night shift -- I was awake in case he had any trouble getting in. I've been out some before day light but it has changed from snow to sleet and freezing rain. That is not going to do well after dark this evening. The snow does not alarm me, the ice is another story. It can cause power outages pretty quick here. Hope you guys have a safe and great day!
I prepped for this storm extra wood ,extra food . I am not sure we will only get 1 to 6 inches of snow . I guess time will .tell . I will keep you guys posted if possible . thanks for asking too.
