Many who know me personally know that a modern standard American diet absolutely destroyed my digestive system about 15 years ago. Obviously health isn’t just about a healthy weight.I'm still working on my health. The biggest single problem is, overeating is my narcotic of choice. I eat too much and too often, plain and simple. I don't eat that much junk food and my meals are not terribly unhealthy. The portions are just huge and I eat too often. I also never miss an opportunity to eat. Donuts in the break room, I'm all 'bout it. Day old sandwiches at the gas station for a buck, hell yeah!
So, the solution is intermittent fasting. I've done it before and it works. In 2005 I lost 70 pounds in a year and was at a healthy weight for probably the only time in my entire life. It's hard as hell first starting out, feels like I have a demon in my belly demanding food. But after a week or so I get into cruise control and can stay with it. So here goes, say a little prayer for me!
The documentary “Fed Up” explains all this very well for anyone that wants to learn about it. Sugar is indeed the enemy. And the AHA (Anerican Heart Assoc) is not as good as it seems either, actually taking bribes and lying to us as well about what we ahould eat.. Sugar in all forms is the main enemy of any healthy person. Out of necessity I’ve had to eliminate most carbohydrates (which your body turns into sugar anyway) from my diet. In addition to the intermittent fasting, you might consider checking out what Dr. Ken Barry, Dr. Shawn Baker, or professor Bart Kay have to say about a proper human diet.
We have been lied to by the food and drug industries for over a hundred years in this country. Weston Price knew this and when he pointed it out he was black listed by the American Dental Association which is an organization he founded. They want you to be fat and sick plain and simple!
Every lost fast food french fry I’ve ever found in a car for the last 30 years has never been moldy and appear just the same as fresh except for being petrified.One time I had a Party Pizza that had been in the freezer for too long and so I thawed it out and put it on a log
in the woods on the back of my place. It didn't mold (even after three weeks), and the animals wouldn't touch it.
