The 101 cranks can be different. A 101b is pretty much like a 797 crank, if memory serves. The 101c has opposite direction threads on the PTO side, and the 101D has a large, non - tapered PTO side.
The 101b an the sp125 have reverse thread pto and no keyway, but are not the same crank, the 797 and mc101/101a/101aa had standard thread/key way pto’s, all are of these are interchangeable otherwise

I knew they used some variation of the 101 's for para sails and ultra lights but didn't know which model .That would make sense then as perhaps the design would have to meet FAA specs perhaps ..Off the subject but 700 power units used for bomb hoists by the US Navy would have had to meet mil specs .
Kart engine ,my heavens during the day everybody and their brother made AM speed parts for them .One would think they would be common as dandelions .They aren't though .

That would make sense on the 797 ,right hand start like the early 10-10 6-10 etc .One of the service manuals I read on the 125c for example made note the reason they did away with the key way was to try to eliminate problems with tearing out the key ways .

Working on the Reed today. Got it clean and flat as possible.View attachment 175647 View attachment 175648
Just as an FYI to everyone on 125 reeds, mc49 kart reeds are a direct fit and the same thickness. There is a seller on eBay that is reproducing them, he laser cuts them and they fit, but they are .020 thick vs .025-.031 I haven’t tested them yet myself, but when I talked to him he said they haven’t experienced any failures in mc49 kart use. They are only $10

If Terry doesn't have any, I will go that route for sure.

Yep even with getting the block flat these Reed petals won't seal. Flipped them both ways with no luck. Time for new Reed petals for sure.IMG_20190407_111615.jpg
