I just did the squish on an 026 jug. Same area read .022 with .032 solder and .018 with .023 solder.

That was measured with a micrometer and not a caliper.

Just goes to show that you need the closest solder possible to your intended goal.
After coming into contact with the piston how many times? I always roll the flywheel back and forth until I can barely feel it. Takes maybe 10 or 12 times back and forth with .031 solder

Using .032 solder if the flywheel tries to take your finger off after the first squish. You still got .006-8 to go.
Yea I always try to give it a flip the first time and get my sausage fingers outta da way. That hurts when it rolls over TDC and jams your finger into the case housing

Hence the reason I use the pre squished pieces now. Don't even bother bolting it down till I know I'm in the ballpark.

Plus I busted a cast key out of a flywheel by not having it tight while checking squish. That hurt in more ways than one..

You're likely correct. Probably the same amount on both sizes.
