With the great construction of both, do you have a preference when reaching for a chain? I've used the LPX for years with no issue, but am getting more and more interested in trying the LGX.

Thanks Mdavlee. I might have to order one and try it. Pricing is a little steeper like you said, but being an Oregon dealer has it's benefits. What size saw are you running this on mdavelee?

Interesting that I'm the only LPX vote. Learning more and more all the time how much I don't know about saws. Appreciate the feedback on this topic guys.

I've ran LPX before. Just never go out of the way to buy it. Too much work later in the chain life to set rakers.

the multi cut version is better through and it stays sharp longer because of the thicker chrome plating.

I run both and noticed no difference in cutting. That said, I go with LGX when given a choice.

LGX for me. But I run alot of Carlton too.
I have one Carlton loop for my MS250, but it came used with the saw. Seems to not hold a sharpen as long in my opinion, but could have already been ruined by the time I got my Oregon grinder on it.
