they made an open port, and a closed port during the run of those
which ones on yours?
Steve can make those open ports run
I just have stock
all my 268s are closed ports I can really tell the difference.

Going off memory here, I think the 810’s and 910’s were open port. 20’s and 30’s were closed
What happened to your uncle huskybill?

Interesting on the two piece. That’s all I have.

I did some boring on some fat rounds in my yard last night with a 24” tsumura full wrap. Light and handy. Pulled/lugged it well. I’ll have to try 28” skip. Only thing is, this morning my hands feel a little tingly. I think @Johnmn came up with a way to trim 288 AV springs for a 266, I’ll have to try it. @Czed
Just buy one of everything

The 920 cylinder looks like a 288’s with the lowers feeding thru the piston. The 930 is closed port still but has the lowers open to the case like a 372.

So I went out and dumped a couple trees with the 266. Worked fine. Then I came home and did some testing and my newer ported 60cc saws stomped on the stock 266 in power, speed, and smoothness…

@mettee starting cuts or cleaning out faces chest high on awkward ground is when you want a light grunt saw that can pull chain from an idle vs. a Cookie Monster.

The 266? A couple pounds less than a 7900. But stock, not even in the same ballpark as the 7900 power wise. The 6100 has more snort I think. 6100 weighs about the same.

6100 is 1 lb lighter than 2166, 7900 is 1 lb heavier than 2166. The 6100 is heavy for it’s ccs, but also powerful for its ccs, so…

I’ll never forget dogging it into dry hard oak with 24” FC 3/8” on it and it mowing right thru.

I'm confused, did you mis-type 266 in your first post or is the 2166 comparison in addition to a 266 comparison?

Yeah the dolmar in the pic.

I looked it up online the 6100 is 13.3 lb to a 7900 at 13.8, no bars.

What is snort, is that torque?

You can run full skip in situations like that too.
