There's a lot to read here, but based on the last few comments the saw didn't turn out. Are these Chinese kits just trash all the way around? The G888 has me tempted, but my gut says it's just all a waste of money.

I always replace the piston pin bearing, and run good oil mix (Saber at 40:1).

Would never say they compare to OEM, but it you do things right you can build a strong woods port that will hold up.

I sold a ported 660 to some pro firewood guys who use it a lot for bucking large hardwood, and they are ga ga over it.

That saw has a Cross cylinder and Meteor piston.

I built a kit with the MMWS kit from Cross. Did a gasket delete and advanced timing with a modified muffler. Runs about 200psi compression. Holds its own with a stock 660

At this point, would it be worthy of a few quality OEM parts for reliability? Like the crank bearings?
Be pretty cool to see this mad maxed 'lil china girl sing.

watch the vids. . Take notes....then ask questions. No harm in going through the vids completely before you assemble. Enjoy your build!
