Turns out the bottom ends will only last five cuts with a "PRO" ported cylinder.

Guessing that's what @tree monkey was referring to about when the jug base is belt sanded .015" out of spec

Are trying to make an arbor from that 2.5 inch you can't chuck up? Drill a hole in it and press some shafting into it, then turn it to size.

Yes, great idea here. A few days more and the new drill press will be here so I think I'll wait instead of using a hand drill. Thanks!

All of mine are. Whenever a customer sends me a saw with a good cylinder I take It off and trade it for one of my own. I have piles of them
