heres a few pics of the ole TD14, I started today with both clutches and 1 brake installed, I was able to damn near get it all the way back together today, I need a few bolts and battery terminals, I will be back at it on Friday and will get it all done, customer wants new gear oil and some other small stuff, i am very happy to almost be done with this job
I know that machine has a few years on my 750 but seeing it all torn apart to fix clutches makes me glad I went with a hydro machine. When I purchased it all three pumps had just been serviced and the brakes were in great shape. Hopefully another 40yrs in it with the limited use it sees now !

I think the avalanche is a lot more truck than some other stuff out there. It has a V8, a frame and 4lo…it’s a truck, never mind the goofy plastic. Independent suspension we’ll let slide…

Now the Honda ridgeline? No way. Unibody, no low range…it’s a mini van with the camper shell cut off. Especially the new ones.

Don’t compare that stupid Ridgeline to a minivan !! I use the “Country” part of the Town and Country a lot more than the “Town” part. This beast has 36 bags of seed corn in it and it gets the job done in comfort and style all while getting 26mpgs. Not showing up in a $90k GMC Denali is a good thing in my neck of the woods. I wouldn’t mind finding a newer (05-06) Suburban to use or a nice half ton with a topper. The $800 minivan has done it for the last 4yrs though so it’ll be here until one of us dies !! You can see its predecessor in the weeds in the background. 270k and the trans dropped parts on the ground while being valet parked at a fancy fancy restaurant. The owner of the restaurant actually handed me $4500 cash! as long as I wouldn’t come after him for one of his employees “wrecking my van” because that’s what a recent trans repair in his truck cost. Um yeah it was slipping for the last 5k miles and it was time. I told him that and he said “you Minnesotans are all so nice. I insist.” Well okay. I felt bad but sure wasn’t going to say so no.

Look at it. White and rusty and squatted like those stupid trucks the kids are driving these days 😂

That looks like a really late model. Is it direct diesel start?

I am confident enough in my "manhood" to say one of, if not the most comfortable and enjoyable vehicles I ever drove was a 2002 Dodge minivan.
I’ve had a dozen minivans over the years and they are great for what they are. They are given a bad rap for some reason just for being a minivan. Dang handy and cheap for the space and MPGs they get vs a pickup. I’ve hauled 30 sheets of 5/4” flooring in a minivan, routinely haul 2,000lbs of seed corn/soybeans in one and they’re large enough to stick the kids in the far back seat while mama and I are in p front that we can hardly hear them when they fight in road trips !

Love em. That being said I think my next van will be a late 90’s E350 Waldoch conversion van. RWD and a hitch will be nice.

Ridgeline, unibody yes, and it has proven to tow 7k with trailer brakes of course/no issues, independent 4 wheel-absolutely-love the cushy ride and handling, and yes David mine does have low range LOL.
OK, carry on guys LOL.

Our primary vehicle is a Honda Odyssey. Prior to that we had a Ford Windstar. Made two trips to the flooring place. 1000 square feet on the first trip, 750 on the second. Let really heavy driving from Knoxville to Sweetwater. Gets 26 mpg driving without trying, close to 30 if I try to maximize mileage. Trucks have a place, and are not replaceable for hauling. Most are just manly transportation for people who want to drive a truck. For those that need one, there is no replacement.

My son's all wanted 74 F250's as their first vehicle. Of course they had never spent much time in one. Yeah they look nice but for comfortability in driving hell no!

My oldest's truck at 15 was a 97 F350 full 4 door, 8 ft bed, 7.3 diesel, with a 5 speed. One helluva lot better to drive
