Last year, I bought their last 28" D009 GB Pro Top for $42 + shipping. They had chain on sale WITH free shipping. I bought 2 or 3 loops of chain and the bar and they shipped the whole lot for free. Made me happy, even tho it would still have been a good buy with shipping $ tacked on

Very good deal there!!

I picked up a 24" with a few loops of chain from one of his group buys...would definitely work with old Grandedog again!!

Anyone open to getting one of those GB Titanium 20" 404 bars and shipping it to Aus for me?
You cant get them any more, they stopped making them .
Happy to pay for the bar and all shipping costs via paypal.

If LCS shipped internationally I would just buy from them.

Some info out of 1 of the GB threads. So pay attention as all the GB bars are not Aussie made. ;)

Since buying some new GB chainsaw bars at Left Coast supplies. Thought would share info on them.

These 2 below are made in Australia

The CN40 Titanium bars are no longer made in shorter lengths.
They are now available only in the extra long bar range which is 44" and up, and they have the heavy duty harvester nose on them.
This is why I want one of the 20" CN40 bars from LCS. Their site says they only have 4 left :-(

The pro top bars have changed a bit to take up the place of the old CN40 line.
They are now orange with a black tip and have had their steel hardness increased to almost match the CN40 bars.
I have one of these and love it. Its a really good bar!

The cheap laminate bars are ok..... about what you can expect for the price but they get the job done.

Never had one of their bars, anyone know if they have any that compare in weight to the Stihl ES light bars?

Sure my dealer has them in stock still. Aussie prices though. $90-$100 with my 15% discount... :(

Great guys, great place to do business. They were shafted by Bailey's when they (Bailey's) closed up their shop in Laytonville, CA. So the group working there scrambled and opened LCS just south of Laytonville, in Willits. Which is good for me, as I have friends that I stay with in Redwood Valley, just south of Willits.

From what I know, the GB ProTop, harvestor, custom and Ti bars are all made in Oz. Other low end GB bars are made in China. G & B split up when they sold the company off in Oz, and one of them went to China (I forget which one). Greg at LCS does business direct with both parts of GB and gets bars for stunning deals. I know several guys in Oz that are pissed off at us in the US (and GB) for that. Of course, we also get saws for a hell of a lot less here stateside as well. I dunno about the weight comparison to Stihl ES light bars. I do not know much about the cheaper China bars either, but the GB pro bars hold up well. They also have less of an oval than Stihl bars and cut a straighter line. I prefer ProTop to Stihl ES bars, actually. I have a lot of both Stihl and GB bars, and with exception to one Oregon bar, those are all I have and run now.

If it don't work out for ya, I'll look into shipping one over
Thanks mate but may have to put things on hold.
I lost my job today along with all my workmates to redundancy.

I will let you know but so far LCS has not got back to me

That's what I thought, after a few discussions on the subject.

Looking at their website today makes me a bit worried, as the selection of bars looks a bit "spotty", compared to how it has used to be. Is something up with the supply?

Best of luck for the future mate. That's a major spanner in the works.
