Yes I'd agree with that. In an earlier listing it seemed he was either on something pretty strong or depressed.;)
Was saying only people with big balls could operate a saw like this etc etc.

What is anyone's thoughts on this saw. Personally - the 136 is a bit close to my heart. What i got started on......
Be interested on your thoughts.

No thoughts mate. Think i've read that they are an orange Poulan, but if it does what you want then it's an effective tool.

Anyone seen this guy/had experience? Selling brand new gold plated Stihl saws. he apparently offers better service than the Stihl Shops judging by the money he wants for this 880

Also has https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketp...y/forestry/chainsaws-parts/listing/2876044852

there used to be local guy selling parallel import stihls . The local Stihl dealer had complained to Stihl but apparently they couldn’t do anything about it. The specs were slightly different to the NZ new ones and he refused to service them which I can understand.
This guy is probably doing something similar, the prices are up there though . The other guy was slightly cheaper than a dealer.

My first saw was a 136 , they are a rebadged Poulan . They go ok but I wouldn’t bother fixing a busted one though.

Did anyone else see the Stihl 088 on tardme that wasn’t running well and needed a new “ cam”?

that’s awesome, reminds me of the jonsered 2083 I bought that was advertised as having low compression. By low compression they meant no spark plug .

Hahaha. My turn. My 288 was "seized by my idiot son".....if seized is chainbrake full of sawdust and very difficult to dis-engage.

My son was selling lawnmowers he fixed up and I got a nasty email from some clown he sold one to saying wouldn’t start.
They generally don’t with the lever in the off position. The icing on the cake was the look of complete contempt from his wife at him as I got it to start on the first pull with the lever in run .

Have to balance my meagre luck with things like my 357 that was "fine until the shop tuned it".....no mention of strait gassing or the fact that it must have been run over by a skidder. Broken fins, welded case.......sigh.

nice , I bought a 181 from a guy that was pretty difficult to deal with . Sold as needing new coil , after three cans of degreaser on the filthiest saw I ever bought I found that one of the wire clips to the coil was loose . Plugged it back in and it ran really strong .

There was a guy in Nelson trying to sell an 056 super over the weekend, listed it three times and the tardme fun police took it down every time.
