Haha, smart arse ay.

I don't need anymore saws but I've got pretty much everything it needs to fix it. Thats a really stupid policy I doubt it will ever change. You can't buy semi automatics in either shotguns or rifles there either and they banned pump action rifles too.

I see @markds2 was successful on this auction. This the one you telling me about @markds2 ?
Yep, that's one of 3 394 builder saws I have sitting ready for me once I catch up on other stuff. The cylinder, although he says is 'ported' hasn't really had any proper work done to it, it has had no machine work nor has the upper transfers been touched (both of which require specialist gear and tooling). Looks like the intake and exhaust have been widened and the lower transfers hogged right out. Will be interesting to see how it runs.

Whats the difference between a 394 and a 395 . Just curious.
Very little actually, different intake setup (intake block rigidly mounted to the cylinder instead of a rubber boot like on the 395) and dual upper transfers (rather than quads on the 395). Slightly different running characteristics apparently but I haven't ever run one myself.

Thanks for that

There’s a guy selling off a load of 046 460 parts on tardme, I think it’s a guy that had a forestry business and previously sold parts . He’s good to deal with but his parts are usually well used

Whomever he/she is they've got 11 saws and five boxes of Stihl bits up, so been a busy bee at some stage.

And very thought/effort gone into the listing. They're all just listed as chainsaws. That part I don't doubt, but what about reference to manufacturers and model numbers, how they run etc.....;)
