I've got two really abused 357s, both have broken cases but the welding has held up so far. I wouldn't sell them tho, unlike the people whom i got them from.... I'll keep a look out for ya on MarketPlace etc up here.

Thanks Adam, much appreciated for that. I keep an eye on Trademe, just not exactly a regular when it comes to Marketplace.

Keep in touch

Snagged a mixed box off Marketplace.
Anyone need a genuine Oregon .404 tip or two?
Also have rotary sharpening stones, some threaded some collet. One 4.0mm pack, heap of 4.8 and 5.5. Not looking to clear Cindy's deficit here so if they're useful holla and we'll work something out.

Looks to be about 4 562s in there.

Also bit of a collectors item here from @Rogee
https://www.trademe.co.nz/3021377508

if you could rebuild and sell two and end up with a rebuilt 562 of your own I reckon it would work out ok . Looking through the 562 thread there was a surprising amount of issues with them , I guess most of them have been ironed out now

I'm sure you've seen it, but Invercargill Pawn listed a 359 today on TM. With nothing more than a mild lower transfer tidy, a muffler mod and a hike in compression mine went real well. Probably shouldn't have sold it.

Months lol I'm still trying to pay for my new little truck amongst other life things

I do have enough saws but damn a 288 mmmm a 288.

Hey @Jethro 2t sniffer are you still keen on the 288? I'm wanting to move it as it hasn't been used in months. Send me a PM if you are keen.

Mate said he had an old husky at the back of his shipping container for me, said it seemed like a larger one. I've been wanting a 272 to fill a hole in my collection for a while, so once we finally fished it out without top cover or bar cover, got the cylinder numbers 52zn etc thought I'd snagged an older 268 with a 272 cylinder. Get it home and all the parts off my 380 swap over. So looks like it's a 280. Bit bummed.

Long story short I'm actively looking for a 268/272 project, preferably with a good mahle cylinder. If anyone has one gathering dust.

I had a husky 55 on trade me as a parts saw as it had no carb, top cover, handle etc and they pulled the listing because the chain brake was in complete. Not sure how you hurt your self on a saw that has no carb and doesn't run. Looks like they really take the chain brake thing seriously, Bunch of Muppets

They pulled a chainsaw winch for the same thing the other day. How you brake a chain that isn't there?

Yeah, ended up ringing them after they threatened to ban my account for listing a completely dismantled stihl 041 . They let me list it but explained there were clowns with nothing better to do with their lives than report saws without brakes.

I wonder how many vintage saws end up at scrapyards because they are too hard to sell?
