Just putting this out there for anyone in the future looking for an answer. I just put a 1997 670 together and the only flywheels I had were the ones with the larger hole. I think before 97 the crank is thicker where the flywheel mounts. So I had one from a 371k with the correct paws and gave it a try. Perfect fit and runs like it should. I'm not sure, but it looks like the 372 flywheel would work on these if you swapped the paws. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that

good info on that single coil flywheel, just did up a 272 single coil, got a few k flywheels around too for others that may come in with a sheared key
