I see how it is. The Hooskies don't cut wood, so hence the propane heater. LOL
Nice family there. Enjoy sir...[emoji106]
That's a good one. I'm a husky guy but that was clever.

Saved this one from a scrap dumpster, besides being completely full of saw cake and it looks like someone beat or kicked the muffler off? The piston and cylinder look terrific and plenty of compression (machine marks still quite visible) does anybody know if there's a thread insert kit for one of the muffler bolts on the cylinder?
I haven't tried this kit
But a member here likes them
Said it worked great for m5-m6 conversions.

Hi guys,

I’m a noob so please be gentle...I’m in the market for a flywheel side case for a 372xt or a pair. Found a set that shows 2009 as mfg date. Think torq’s came out in 2010? How do I know if a case will take an xtorq cylinder.

The depth of the cylinder skirt is longer for an xtorq. So only a case for an xtorq will work for that cylnder, but if I understand correctly the shorter non torque cylinder will fit the xtorq case.

With alot of cleaning I put the 66 back together (dont have muffler bolts yet) .
Complete carb rebuild , oil pump, pto seal, clutch and rim drive drum. So the saw races way up when fired off , I'm probably looking at replacing the flywheel side seal but this is the first time I'm working with one of these so if anyone sees something not right please let me know.
Would I be able to see the cylinder gasket if its there?

That qualifies for the "you suck" thread.

Yep that’s what I understand. I found a case on eBay but it’s 09 vintage. Guy says it will work with an x-torq but I know x-torqs came out in 2010. Guess I’ll pass.

Does anyone know what the flywheel nut on a 66 is supposed to be? Discovered mine is missing.
And Walt sure is right about working on these saws , holy cow is it easy to change the seals and just access everything on it, a real breeze to work on.
