I think you have me confused with someone else Poge, I've never had a 288. I had a 266 that I sold about 6 or 8 months ago.So what did you do with the 288?
Ya, I wish I hadn't sold the 266!!!! But at the time I needed the money more than I needed the saw.Guess I am confused, then. Coulda swore you posted a pic of a 288 recently. If you do run across one, don't sell it!
Well I just got a whole "L65" in trade instead of just the air cleaner, and I did a plastic straw measurement of the jug and it mics out to 52 something , so error for measuring device Im gonna assume that someone swapped out the jug and piston in this saws life. One thing the p/o told me is he never saw a 65 with the plug exposed through the top cover. Not always. I have a mystery Husky cylinder with a 50Z designation that's closer to 48mm -- 47 and high change actually.
Ok , so are there any indicators on the cylinder that would help me identify what I have?I hardly meant to be definitive. Just citing an example of an exception to what the casting may seem to otherwise indicate. Bear in mind Husky used several cylinder manufacturers also.
