However, number plate is missing and there is absolutely no other markings indicating what model this should be.
How to tell is it 180, 280, 380, 480 or something else?
Cylinder is 52mm in diameter. with stroke between 37 and 36mm
Was brake removed possiblyThat was my first guess, but it doenst have embossed husqvarna logo on top cover, and no chain brake. Thats why im doubting, maybe 280CD ?
163cd or 263cd would be my guess. It's pretty old with the push button stop switch. Around 1973 or so.Bought this yesterday, with bar and chain for 30$. Starts and runs.

572xp ported would be a real good runner, modern ergonomics and everything else , I’m sure other members could chime in to .New member so not sure if this is the best place to post this Husky question. I currently own a 390. I got rid of a 372 oe and decided to keep the 390 because it had more power. I run my saws about 15-20 hours a month so the weight wasn’t really a deal breaker for me. I live in Virginia so I am typically cutting oak or similar with a 24” bar. I am considering getting a saw ported. My 2 questions are:
1-would a 372 oe ported be as strong as the 390 stock
2-if not, what model would be lighter but with the power of the 390 once ported. I understand that some models take to porting better than others.
Since you sold the oe 372, I'd say get Kevin to port you a 572.New member so not sure if this is the best place to post this Husky question. I currently own a 390. That's impressive. Good job @huskihl
Thanks for all the reply’s. I decided to have Randy at Zoo City Sawz port a 372 oe for me. He lives in the same town as my parents and brother so that’s saves me $70 on shipping.New member so not sure if this is the best place to post this Husky question. I currently own a 390.
