Any insight whether it be pro or con on the 390XP??
Is this model spring suspended and regular carb'd or auto tune.
Would I see enough of a difference in performance say comparing to a 575 or 576?? Thx. for any input

There a good saw. Just don’t turn up the rpms too high.

Spring av. Regular adjustable carb.

With a 28”+ bar yes. About the same physical size as 576xp but 1 pound heavier. Really just a overbuilt 372xp.

No disservice at all @PogoInTheWoods. I welcome any and all input for sure buddy. I do realize a couple things about this saw after doing some reading and catching some vid's from @afleetcommand. I enjoy his knowledge and presentations. Couple things I now know for sure.
Non Stuffed Crankcase.
390XP is a non auto tune carburetor and this powerhead replaced the 288XP.
Saw can be high or low topped.
Fly side bearing is a larger 6203 and not for sure, maybe you can shed some light on the PTO side bearing. It looks larger than a 6203 and I assume is a proprietary bearing.
I just don't think it's a big enough difference to bail on the 570,575, and 576 series.
Again thanks for posting DW's two saw video. He does build powerful saws as I'm told. but not by experience yet LOL!!
Have a good day my man!!

Agreed, they are a great platform for a saw for alot of different needs.

yes it is a good saw too be honest there’s not much weight difference between the
562 and this one too be honest and it felt a good balance with the 28” GB bar on it
