Anybody who is not familiar with these and wants to tackle it on their own, here's a good video tutorial of it being done on a 592XP -NON G- model.

He also mentions in the comments about the updated superseded part number for the intake, which I found from the link below to be part number 531381101, which was superseded from 593257901 for the NON G model. This could be the reason why the 593257901 part is so hard to find when the newer, superseded part, is available.

Put the wires back where they belong.
Alsa, a little bit of patience helps when installing the air filter adapter.

What's patience? I've screwd up more than once just because I didn't take 30 and replan or properly think about what I was doing.

Curious Steve, what are the build dates on those two?

<edit> Looks like I posted the above video about the same time as your photos. LOL

Saws have this much time on them...

You could have saved me the effort had you done so sooner. Lol

The second saw did not have an AV issue and still cracked the boot, so that is NOT the problem causing the cracking.
Mine didn’t have an AV issue either so I doubt that caused the boot issue. I took my old all a part like you did in the earlier picture as well

I’ll bet Steve doesn’t have classical music going in his shop 🤣

I most definitely saved that vid, lol. Have a friend with one of these…only a matter of time 🤣
