A few years ago, I owned a MMWS562p. I was very very impressed with the saw and it was go to saw at the time.... Only problem is I dropped a tree on it and sold it. Fast forward 3 years later, I'm began a quest in trying to find a 562xp builder as I liked my previous 562 so much. I found a builder back in the fall and just finished it a week ago. Now where should I send it????

I have had a wicked ported 2253 for a while now. It's a great saw. But I'm thinking I'd rather have extra Cc's and extra couple bar inches in a ported 60cc saw at the cost of a extra lb. But that's me.

What is the rpm maxed out at on a 562? My 2253 sounds like it to maxes out at 20,000 lol!

I'm Bias, but keep it in the animal kingdom: either a Monkey or a Hog.

I suppose technically,
A Jackass is in the animal kingdom, but I don't care for Flying saws, so I'll stick with a sure Thing. [emoji41]

I've got 4 saws that I take with me to cut firewood with. (Used to be 15-20) Two 50cc running 18 and 20 inch bars, (MS260, Dolmar 111), a ported 67cc running a 24 inch (Echo 670)and a ported 88cc running a 28 inch,(390XP). But I would like to have a 60cc with a 20 inch for overall use. After looking, reading, talking and seeing different ones in this range. Saturday I was convinced that a 562XP, done by Allen, no one else, (no disrespect intended to other builders) would be my next saw. It will be a while, though. (I'm still paying off the 390). ;)

I just grind the piston to make the strato timing match the intake timing, so that both the intake and strato ports begin to flow at the same time.
What is your thinking on this Allen? Not much talk of strato saw improvements here. Looks like you have a good handle on it.
