This thread is another example of why I love this place so much. A saw builder starts a thread praising the work of another builder. Names of 5 or 6 builders get mentioned / talked about and no one is arguing, fighting or getting butt hurt.

I'd love to see that 064 at the Upstate NY GTG run with the Smittybilt 660s. I think they are very impressive also.

I was impressed with the ported 562 I ran at a GTG, but not as impressed as I was with the ported 372, but different builders may generate different results.

I also tend to be a little heavy handed, so I generally like the larger saws (to a point).

What is your thinking on this Allen? Not much talk of strato saw improvements here. Looks like you have a good handle on it.

The way I see it, the AT on these saws is capable of delivering plenty of fuel, so the more air we can get into the case, the stronger it will run. Balancing the intake and strato ports will allow the maximum in case filling. This is also why I enlarge and smooth the strato ports for more flow.

Oh and just to stay on topic.....I'll add my "hacked up" 385 to the "impressive" list. Feels like a 372, pulls teeth like a 395

562 is on my want list for sure! Also makes me wonder how the 572 AT will run now that it seems they have ironed out the kinks in the AT saws. Time will tell.
