Glad I read this post. I was about to buy a 550 myself. Thinking I'm gonna wait a bit to see how the auto tune deal works out. I hope you get your saw fixed without costing you any change Keith.

Just my observation, but it seems to be about a 50/50 chance at getting a lemon when you buy a 550
I don't know if it's quite that high but a few have had problems. My local husky dealer has only sold a handful of these though.

My local husky dealer told me yesterday ya we service everything husky makes. I ask if he had diagnostic setup for autotunes. He said we work on 372s all the time and none of the huskies require that. He had never heard of a 550,562, or a 576!!! Lol!! Looks like ill be sending this one back to Lee at Lil Red Barn

The old reader I have is not updateable now. Husky changed the update system....

I can still check for codes, and reset fuel settings, etc.

I doubt he is seeing a firmware issue.....

Keith,
Just curious but, did you , or can you, take a tach to the idle to get a Idle RPM....
I had a similar problem on a saw a few weeks back ( NOT A/T) and it turned out to be a washer was misplaced( reversed) on the clutch assembly.

I wish there was a way to bypass these A/T sensors so you can eliminate the Computer from the "problem".

I can try my stihl edt8 tach but not sure it will work. Its not idling high that I can tell though and the clutch spins freely
