Do the Intake and muffler from the 350 mount in the 346 and 353? I will ask dealer on price for 346, 350 and 353 kits. Any guesses?

I personally like all of them Tim mentioned. Had all but an OE 346, but ive ran one. They all have their perks. I dont think u can pic a bad choice out of the 4. Up to u @Carhartt:D they can all run really well with the trifecta or turn um up a lil more with porting. If this was a poll im guessing the 346 NE would win.

If I was only cutting 12" and under wood I'd do a 42mm 346. If it was to be my only saw I'd do a 44.3. If I wanted to mess around with porting and wanted to do the uppers too I'd want a 45mm 350. I've still never ran a 44mm but the 42mm open port 345s run very respectably with that port arrangement. I usually try and have a jug in two or three flavors for this chassis on my shelf.

I've a pair of 345's to make into one, and a 353 which i assume is closed port 45mm (the last one was) to resurrect too. I like em, but the OE346XB always out shines em.

I've got a 45mm on a 2152 I'm playing with now that's pretty sporty. 45 will never hang with a ported 346 but you would have to mod one a little to hang. I got a little crazy opening the lowers so the transfer caps aren't coming off again...

No retainer screw meat left? The one i did i just rounded off the sharp un-finished edge on the bridge that blocks the entry to the lowers and fitted a PopTop HiWay, BGD and Red97 Muff too of course. Mate at work who has it now loves it, but he hasn't run a 346XB.....

I recently ported a 353 cylinder and put it on a 350. The saw runs amazing. Removable transfer covers made it simple to port. I've seen a lot of negative reviews on the 353 cylinder but after doing this build I'm real happy with it. Something to consider for a 350 upgrade

The 350 and 353 cylinder are the same cylinder. Same PN look it up.

My 353 cylinder is a closed port cylinder with removable transfer covers. The 350's I have disassembled all had open port cylinders. Did they stop using the open port cylinders at some time?

351's used the 44mm open port cylinder, no doubt the one you've seen on 350s, so must be early editions ay.
