If you dont change that boot and clamp at some point it will eat itself and you wished you had changed it.
I did change it. Didn't make any difference in the problem I am having, but the boot is much tighter.

Been a while since working on these but like huskihl said those bolts get loose and getting them back tight really wont work u need to tear down and reseal.Also check cyl to base where impulse is created sometimes u need to grind a little but really look over closely and i guess you put new impulse line on.just about has to be in bottom end.

The little plastic nipple on the intake boot that goes into the cylinder can get hot and melt closed.

Im guessing its in the carb. Carb kit and a cleaning. Sounds like everything else checks out :D

Check the order of gaskets in the carb.Common issue.How bad are the rings?Do they have any tension?
