Well shoot…looks like the gasket set I have has the intake block gasket for a 257. I don’t have any gasket material on hand to make one, so I’m gonna have to go shopping.

Your local farm store or auto parts store will have gasket material.

I ran into the same problem during my 262 build and I had to make one.

Coming along nicely. Ran into the same shît first time I converted a 257 to a 262. Took a couple extra weeks for multiple shipments due to me not noticing the differences in the block, gaskets, air dam thingy, etc

I have definitely learned a few things doing this build. I’m curious to see how it turns out.

I got the saw all put back together this morning and found out pretty quick that I had a fuel problem. Turns out the plastic inlet elbow has a crack in it. I am open to suggestions on how to best repair this.

Order Husqvarna part number 503082001 and replace it.

I'm not a fan of the plastic fuel inlet, I usually order a cheap carburetor online and pull the metal fuel inlet and impluse off and toss the rest.
Thin smear of JB and press it in where the plastic one was.
Just my 2 cents
