What do you have for an ultrasonic cleaner? It looks like it did a good job. Time saver as well.

Nice build, should be a good saw for whomever takes it home.

It is just a cheap 10L heated ultrasonic cleaner. I can’t find it for sale anywhere. This saw is going to Steve’s Dad when I am done with it.

I'll check also in case Kev doesn't have one. I know I've got alot of smalls like AV stuff and a couple of cylinders and 87's. About the only thing I haven't got is a muffler. Been a little while since I've been in my 262 stash.

The AV bumpers that go in the rear of the case are pretty rough.

Checked timing numbers stock with no gasket. Ex: 105; PTO side transfer: 118; Flywheel side transfer: 120; Intake: 70

Since this saw is only going to wear a 20” bar & chain, I am gonna shoot for cutting 0.040” from the squish, and setting port timing at 102, 120-122, 78.

Machine work is great... till you have to make 10 or more of something. Then it becomes pretty boring!

Nothing earth-shattering here to share, but I did find it interesting to see how different two Mahle decomp 262 jugs could be. The one with the more open transfers is the one Steve provided with the saw. The other one is the cylinder JJ sent me. The pictures don’t really show just how more open the transfers are on the one cylinder.

Do any of you experts know why these two random jugs would be so different, or is this just normal casting variation?
