I've always thought 1966 was a special year for the big three. They all made some damn fine looking cars and trucks that year. I traded away a 66 Fairlane that I had owned since 1987 a couple of years ago. I sorta miss it........but I needed that tractor I got for it more.

I've heard you can put a 288 cover on them for a chain brake.

Husky started using chain brakes a long time (about 15 years?) before the 2101 (1987), as did other brands - but it was an option for a long time, not mandatory.

When they became mandatory varied between different markets, but I don't know when it happened on any of the markets.
I believe it happened in Canada before it happened in the US - but it may have happened elsewhere even earlier....
