Mine was split on the impulse but when I put a new one in it was leaking a little around the cylinder. I think my carb ended up about 2.5 turns out on the L side and 2 on the H and it is turning 15k but I did a little work on the ports. Saw isn't too hard to tear down just more work than a pro saw. Once you remove air filter there are 2 nuts holding the filter mount on, on the other side of that are the carb mount screws 7mm if memory serves then 2 Phillips screws on the black metal plate against the carb and 2 4 mm Allen screws holding the plastic intake plate the intake and impulse connect to.
