Here's the Hyway muffler from HLsupply. Feels very sturdy and well built. To me it looks as nice as OEM.

Now it needs another port and cut the cone out.

Hey Brewz this is a bit off topic but what do you know about Archer brand chain??? I see it's made in Australia. Is it popular over there?

Archer chain is NOT made in Australia, made in China (says so in their catalogue). Just sold as being made by an Australian company. All I know is it's cheap and I have a 25' roll of .325 to experiment with doing milling. It does look and feel far better than other Chinese chain I've seen. Can't answer on how long it holds it's edge etc yet though.

Good to know. I saw a roll on eBay and it says Australia on the box. Should've known it was a marketing ploy.

The next issue which has me worried.

The carb!

Owner said the original carb cused massive issues and would not work properly even after 2 rebuild kits. It was a Walbro WJ-39
He got an after market carb and had to fit the Walbro top, choke and throttle by the looks.

The choke doesnt work right and wont open to 90* without being pushed hard.
I flicks back to about 80% open when released.

I have had a search on Ebay for a WJ-39 but no luck.

Anyone got a good carb or know where I can get one?

Epa carb - WJ-70
Drone carb that also works - WJ-71

Sounds like the choke shaft is bent and or the spring isn't tensioned correctly.

Yes its Chinese.
Its what GB market as their chain isn't it?

I put a loop on an Echo I repaired for a bloke and it cut really well. I only used it for a tank of fuel though.

Yeah the owner is sending down the original WJ-39 so I can work something out between the 2 of them.
