That's because the husky never stops oiling, running or not.
The bed of your truck, inside the tool box,on the shop floor,on the bench,it doesn't care,it's a equal opportunity oiler.
Don't forget that when it's layed on the clutch side it'll vomit gas like a BP oil spill.

I hate to keep on but you tee'd it up so.

And there always on there side too.
That's why they never have the sticker on the clutch cover and recoil. Lol

My 395 nor my 288 leaks after they are ran. My 2166 didn't either.

There's 6 or 7 394/5's sitting in my shop right now with a puddle under them.
You got good ones cause all of them I've ported or owned leaked,in the summer they would drain the tank in a a few days.

I only have one that leaks bad right now out of 6. 288 might be leaking since I run it. I'll know if the wife complains of an oil slick.

My 346 serves as my anti corrosion agent dispersal platform...don't have a 394 to talk about:(
That 3 position oiler is a different story... a lil sealant on the tube ends will neaten things up.

How?
I have had a ton of these saws in the shop and can't remember but a couple that didn't leak.

The new 372 I just built does.

If you leave them full of oil they'll leak out the vent tube that lets out between the bar studs. Other than that the two seals on the oil pump rarely leak, but a worn pump will leak out the shaft and fill the spur gear with oil.

I don't know J. I checked all three when I got home tonight and no puddles. I'm sure they all have a half a tank of oil give or take.
