Oh yeah a 2100 crank would be awesome. And tanks. Its gonna be a while before its done but its getting done up right and everything is gonna be very thoroughly planned outYep, quite a distance to take up to make it work. A 2100 crank would surely help. Fun build.

Ahhhh. I see now. More measuring to be done tomorrow. The squish to skirt minus the skirt to gasket surface is what really counts.
Yup. It has a couple extra cooling fins.More cooling fins on the taller cylinder was once pointed out by @jacob j. i think
Well geez thanks Matt. I dont know exactly but right Im guessing around .200”. Ill do more measuring and stuffs this weekend and Its gonna be a while before my 281 gets stripped down though. How much u think needs to come off the case? I've decked a bunch of cases
Dats exactly what I was goin for but I only have a 394 cylinder to go off of at the moment. I imagine base dimensions on a 395 cylinder are identical to a 394 cylinder. An idea... why not use a 395 head.... maybe even a 58mm big bore aftermarket head. They are much more readily available than 394 heads. Maybe the intake block would be more desireable....maybe not. Maybe the 395 boot would easier to work the intake tract. Just a thought.
Yeah dats muh pas cylinder. Lol.Yeah dont wreck a 394 head ....sell it to me instead hehe
Shes not fer sale.. sorry. What ...he dont like cash hehe
