Anybody have any experience with Palmetto State Armory?
I picked this up used never been fired off a fellow that needed cash. I bought it without doing any homework on it because the price was right.
I've bought a lot of parts from them and my Nephew has a PSA AR15. The parts I've bought are good quality. My Nephew hasn't had any issues with his AR and really likes it.
Good people to deal with as well.

Like others said, PSA is solid

I'd say that stainless barrel is a 1:8 twist. If so it'll like 55gr bullets.

If it's 1:8 it'll like mid 60's to 70's even better than 55's

One of my rifles absolutely loves 69 gr pills.

I thought that was 1:7 territory, my understanding anyway. Heavier the pill, more twist to stabilize is needed.

I reckon barrel length will come into play as well.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
If this is your first ar you might want to invest in a ar15 chamber brush i think they are 3.50 on ebay im a cheapass so i shoot alot of steel case and clean the chamber before running brass case because of the residue other than that they are damn near indestructible.
Happy shooting.

1:9 is good for 55gr.

Yea, that's a good deal for a upper. Horray Trump and cheap AR's

To me, a 300 blk is low on my list. I can't hunt deer with that one here. I just picked up a 450 Bushmaster upper for deer. I got a 16" upper in hopes that the hearing protection act goes through. I'll suppress that one for hunting.

Maybe after that I'll get a 300

Horray Craigslist

any m&p fans out there you can buy a compact .40 for 350-360.00 from sportsmans guide if you sighn up for a 30 day membership plus ffl to your dealer. i also bought some 9mm factory barrels from midway and 9mm mags i handload and i like the versatility.1481470905994-122340224.jpg

How much residue do you have in the chamber after shooting steel case ammo?
I've shot a lot of it in my AK's and haven't noticed a buildup of Lacquer in the chamber. I've read about buildup in AR's and have wondered why it occurs in AR's but not AK's.
A friend of mine ordered a bunch of Russian .223, thinking it was brass case. When it showed up, it was steel. He refuses to shoot steel case ammo and sold most of it at gun shows but gave me a couple thousand rounds that was left over.
I'd like to shoot the stuff in an AR, that's got a slide fire on it, but am leery of potentially creating a mess in the chamber.

Some guys won't use the factory 9mm barrels in a .40 because the hood is a few thousands smaller I've shot many thousands through a fullsize conversion no issue lockup is tight and accuracy is excellent. But I'ts not for everyone.

Keep in mind i bought i think 5000 rnds in 2013 so it's definitely older manufacture. Maybe they changed their process but sometimes the coating would flake off but I've gotten some good groups wi1481471821095-79789793.jpg th it.
